refers to transferring your property taxes within Santa Cruz County. You can transfer your property taxes to a new property if the new property is of equal or lesser value than the property you are selling. You have an additional 5% per year for up to two years if you sell first, and then buy or build. Read the information from Santa Cruz County for the details.
Prop 90 refers to transferring your property taxes between these seven counties within California: Alameda, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Ventura. Santa Cruz is NOT part of this program.
